At present the Baba Garia Mission is running one Secondary Model School (Affiliated to CBSE, Delhi, Code No.2030015) (Residencial) situated at Garia Hathai, Atharabla, Udaipur, South Tripura District and three nos. Jr. Basic School (1) at Karbook, Amarpur, (2) at Burburia Bari, Amarpur, (3) at Tentui Bari (Residencial), Ompinagar, Amarpur all under South Tripura District and five nos. pre-primary school 4 nos. are under South Tripura District and one is under West Tripura District. It will be spread out / extended to 4 Districts within next 10 years and upgraded from primary to HS+2 stage regionally. Jote Lands for these purposes have already been purchased and now it is under possession of Baba Garia Mission. For the purpose of extending modern & proper educational & cultural facility to the Tribal community, only Rs.15/= is collected from every family of Jamatia Hoda per annum by the representative of Baba Garia Missions & it is very meager amount to meet our plan.
At Garia Hathai, Atharabla, Udaipur, South Tripura, Baba Garia Mission had already started Model School named as Garia Academy (Model) with the Hostel capacity of 150 Girls and 200 Boys and it will be extended upto 500 students from 2012-13 Academic Session. From April 2003 till date we have accommodated here in the Hostel 350 students and day scholar is 24 as on 25.10.2011. Garia Academy Hostel for the student of Higher Education group & Rest House for Patient attendant are also running since 2004 in Hoda’s Jote land which was donated by Ex. Roller Maharaja Kirit Bikram Kishore Debbarman at Bhulananda Palli, Agartala Airport Road.
Baba Garia Mission is also running Madhymik drop out Coaching Centre named as Garia Academy Madhyamik Drop Out Coaching Centre since 2002 by the help of Tribal Welfare Deptt., Govt. of Tripura here at Garia Hathai, Atharabla, Udaipur, South Tripura. In every Saturday we are also providing special moral teaching class to the students by our prominent persons of the society who have good knowledge in National Integrity & National building, communal harmony, Traditional ethos & culture of the Tribals etc. Through this Academy we have already taught and given full ideas to the 805 youths selected by the Baba Garia Mission from remote areas about merits and demerits of Extremist life and as a result there is not a single person who has been mis-guided & also joined in extremists group since last 9 years (from August 2002 to April 2011) from Jamatia Community.

We are confident and firmly believe that these youths who were selected by BGM Authority from different communities can not be displaced from main stream of the Nation in their lifetime and they are also carrying the good messages to the different societies as well as to the young generation. Through this policy we are getting good result and good response from general people in fighting against the evil forces i.e. extremists activities in the State. This year also we have already started from 1st of August 2011 with 52 Girls and 48 Boys in two units of Madhyamik Drop Out Coaching Centre for continuing our policy to eliminate extremist’s activities from the state and to achieve our target. Results of last 9 years are-

2011-12 2 100 Running smoothly since 1st August 2011

One Vocation Training Centre named Baba Garia Vocational Centre is running smoothly since 2010 on free basis to the S/T community and we have also got fund Rs.4.00 lakhs from NCRI, Hyderabad.
One Technical School (I.T.I) for 100 Students was also proposed to be set up one at Garia Hathai, Atharabla, Udaipur, South Tripura and another at Karam Chhara, Dhalai Tripura District and the Institution will be managed, supervised by the Baba Garia Mission (Regn. No.3835/2001) and will be aimed at to impart quality education to the tribal students / Youth so that we can attract the youth, now being illusioned by some NGOs established in remote tribal areas which are basically teaching against the traditional ethos and culture of the Tribal.
The Garia Hathai, Atharabla, Udaipur, South Tripura Distirct is located in the middle of the State and there is no quality educational Institute in and around the place and so for all purpose this place has been selected as Headquarter of Baba Garia Mission. Sri Jual Oram, The Hon’ble Minister for Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India has laid down foundation stone on 08-10-2001 for the Institution named as “GARIA ACADEMY” on 3.31 Acres Jote land & later on we have purchased here more 10.00 Acres, now total jote land comes to 13.31 Acres . For the purpose we are also in possession of 66 acres of land adjacent to the Jote land here. It is mention-able that all the Govt. Schools in the remote areas are not functioning properly because of threat of the extremists. As a result, tribal students are found to be loitering as "Drop Out" students in the Secondary Education level. These scopes are being utilized by the NGos in their conversion and those converted people are made with anti-Indian out look.

So, this educational Institution i.e. Garia Academy will immensely be beneficial to us. Under the guidance by Jamatia Hoda and Baba Garia Mission, this Institution is giving proper education as well as national integrity and communal harmony to the students particularly to the Tribals of different communities and as a result there is no chance for displaces of the young generation from the main stream of the Nation. The total project cost of the Institutions for the entire plan is Rs.100.00 crores only. The plan and project adopted by the Baba Garia Mission will be completed in phase manner.
Donations received from our well wishers are:-
(1) Akhil Bharatiya Vanavashi Kalyan Ashram, Kolkata Mahanagar has donated Rs.1, 06,111/= for construction & running the Educational Institution.
(2) Gakul Kumari Ganashyamdas Charitable Trust, Hyderabad has donated Rs.3.00 Lacs for construction of school building, for which we have already constructed school building at Khamarbari, Teliamura, West Tripura where ran Madhyamik Drop Out Coaching Centre for girls in 2003-04 and already decided to open another Garia Academy (Model).
(3) CRPF donated school-building materials worth at Rs.5.00 lacs. The same has been constructed by Hoda fund within 35 days and now running as Hostel of Garia Academy (M) for Girls.
(4) CRPF constructed 3 community Halls – one at Karbook where running Primary Garia Academy (Model School). Second at Killa, there also running pre-primary Nursery school. Third one is at Bandarghat, Amarpur, Tripura (South).
(5) Assam Rifle, 21 Sector, Tripura donated 50 sets of School bench and two community Halls construction materials, for one at Garia Hathai, Atharabla and another at Killa - construction of which was completed by Hoda owned fund (Rs.30,000/=). In the year 2007 one room was constructed by the 6th Bn. Assam Rifle, Udaipur, South Tripura at Garia Hathai.
(6) Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi has placed fund worth Rs.5.00 lacs through Tribal Welfare Deptt., Govt. of Tripura and constructed Hostel rooms at Garia Hathai, Atharabla, Udaipur by BDO, Killa Block.
(7) Tribal Welfare Deptt., Govt. of Tripura constructed three rooms at Garia Hathai, Atharabla, Udaipur for coaching centre which is now utilizing as office of 2 Units Madhyamik Drop Out Coaching Centre.
(8) ONGC, Tripura Asset, Agartala donated Furnitures for school and Hostel and Two sets of computer.
(9) In the year 2010 an amount of Rs.20.00 lacs was received from Govt. of India through Tripura State as a package of NLFT extremist’s surrenders and already constructed School Building.
The State of Tripura is surrounded in three sides by Bungladesh. It is very much essential to give proper education to the son of the soil (Indigenous people) on national integrity, communal harmony, traditional culture and ethos, otherwise permanent peace in Tripura may deteriorate to a situation more dangerous position than that of the state Jammu & Kashmir.

By adopting these steps by the Jamatia Hoda (Apex Body of the Community) and also Baba Garia Mission, we will be able to achieve our targets i.e. to eliminate the extremists activities in Tripura within next ten years which was resolved by Jamatia Hoda in 412th Annual Conference (on 09-12-2002).
In addition to the above, we are organising several seminars / meetings on necessity of proper education to the generation, Vocational Training, Peace, communal harmony, national integrity, awareness of Health & Hygiene, Legal awareness and against superstition, Traditional Culture & Ethos, Afforestation etc. in the different villages of Jamatia dominated areas at least in 18 Moials (Region) of Jamatia Hoda every year. We are encouraging the students to go outside the North East for higher study for the welfare of student and also in the interest of preservation of our old age heritage & culture. The Jamatia Hoda has resolved in its 415th Annual Conference (on 12-12-2005) for establishing a Hostel for the student of Higher education group at New Delhi, Capital of India. The Hoda also approaches to the State and Central Governments to recruit youths through special drive in the Forces among the indigenous people of Tripura.
We are also participating in the competition of cultural programmes organized by the Government in South Tripura District every year. In the 60th Anniversary of Independent Day celebration, our Garia Academy (Model), Garia Hathai, Atharabla won the 2nd prize and this year i.e. 2011 won 1st Prize and in 2007 Sub-Divisional level cultural competition organized by the SDM, Udaipur won 1st Price and District level also won 3rd prize.
Now, we seek all sorts of co-operations from the people of different walks of life and we request the Government of India, State Government, Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and all other organizations like ONGC, CRPF, Assam Rifle, BSF, Akhil Bharatiya Vanavashi Kalyan Ashram who are really looking after the welfare of down trodden people for extending more financial assistance for constructions of Academy building, Hostels, Technical & Vocational Training schools and to supply the educational materials like computer, furniture for Hostels, Schools, sports etc. for effective and proper management of the Institutions so that we can achieve our motto for the interest of the peace, prosperity and Integrity of India.
“It is also mentionable that Jamatia Community was and has been fighting against all injustice, anti-socials and evil forces right from the 1600 century, from the time of King’s regime. The Jamatia Hoda is still fighting against heinous activities of so called extremist and also fighting to preserve their traditional ethos and culture splendid. We can still boast of our glorious activities. No other social organizations or communities of the North East Region are found so brave and determined to fight out against such extremists’ activities but we are fighting in spite of all dreadful situation.
The Jamatia Hoda and Baba Garia Mission strongly believes that imparting quality and constitutional education to the students of present generation, can be the only permanent solution to the problems of extremism particularly in Tripura and India in general.

Yours faithfully,

President,
Baba Garia Mission
